The following communication has
just been handed us for publication:
One of the most pleasing events of
the Xwas holidays was the Xmas
tree at the Chapel on Factory Hill.
In the center of the stage was a
holly tree from which hung garlands
of glistening tinsel intermingled
with beaming candles. Among this
brilliant luster the little folk of the
Sunday School, saw hanging in great
profusion, every article of pleasure
that their hearts could wish for,
each wondering which would be
theirs. Let us picthre this for our
back-ground, and here comes the
unexpected, a living Xmas tre*.
Just in front of the stage 15 little
girls and bovs beautifully dressed in
bright colors,. formed a living tree
which towered to the ceiling. Each
little girl and boy recited a verse of
’‘Glory to God in the Highest." It
was hardjo decide which little mem
ber deserved most credit, but the
judges after careful consideration
decided in favor of Fay Morris for
the first prize, the two little broth
ers. Andrew and Clide Clough, came
in worthily for the second prize and
Jittle Edith Benton wss last, but not
least, the winner of the third prize.

folk went home joyfully pleased,
tooting their horns and eating Xmas
goodies.
