Addie Smith of Smoaks spent a few days very pleasantly at the home of E R Smith last week. Mias Leila Padgett was the guest of Mrs John Kicklighter last Tuesday. Mr and Mrs D M Fralix were in Walterboro last Tuesday on a shopping expedition. Mr and Mrs Ben Bailey, who have been in Charleston for the past week, re tuned home Satur- dar morning. There will be a Christmas tree at the Peeples school house Thursday night, Dec. 22. Every body is cordially invited to at- ted and we hope both Mr and Mrs Santa Claus will be able to come. There will be a new school be gun at the Fire Hill school house Monday, the teacher being Charley Crosby. Mr and Mrs M A Crosby gave a birthday dinner on the 26th of November in honar of their four year old little daughter, Rebecca. There were thirty-two persons present, seventeen of them being little ones. They all seemed to enjoy the day very much.
