Miss Lillian Farmer will leave Monday to attend a* house party at Mrs. F. E. Johnstone's home—Ester- ville plantation. North Santee. While away Miss Farmer will attend the Loeae-Mitchell wedding. Glover and sheridan orga- nizes The meeting called by Senator Ackerman at Cottageville Thursday for the purpose of organising Glover and Sheridan townships into good roads and drainage leagues was quite a soceem. The morning waa spent at the hospitable home of Senator Ackerman, and in driving over some model roads, built a year ago by the chain gang out of the natural soil. These are model roads. Among those spending the morning with Senator Ackerman and dining with him were Col. J. W. Hill, Col. J. G. Padgett, Hon. D. L. Smith, Jno. O. Jajues, Jr., C. W. Butler, J.* M. Moorer, Harold Butler, B. R. Smith, C. b. C. Adams. Jno. O. Jaques, Sr., Rev. J. P. Inabinet. Hie meeting for organising was held at Cottageville in the afterason, the speakers being Senator Acker man, Messrs. Smith, Hill, Moorer and Padgett. At the conclusion of the speaking a good roads and drainage league for each township was organised, J. D. Ackerman was made president of the Sheridan township league and Col. J. W. Hill of Glover.
