Nov. 25,—Special: Our little town is on a building boom at present. I. A. Sauls is constructing a neat little up-to-date little cottage. <. C. M. Hodges is erecting a capa cious residence. S. P. J. Garris, Jr...{wilt a large corn house last week. Smouks is getting larger daily. It is a splendid business center. Its growth and de velopment for the last year have surpjroed any small town we know of. The millinery here is doing a fine business under the management of the Misses Brabham. You do not have to "dip very far into the future” to see Smoaks wear ing the costume of some of the very largest towns. It is surrounded by good agricutural lan Is, and our farmers here are awake and alive to the great agricultural prospects that are before them. Smoaks has a bet ter outlook for a town thar our county seat had to begin with. With reference to her agricultural en vironments, her lands arc better and her farmers are more concerned in getting the very best results from their lands than ever before. The inventions and discoveries of the present day make the agricultural interests and methods of farming much better than they were a few years ago. These things are being concisely demonstrated and evi denced at old Smoaks. J. D. Smoak had business in the City by the Sea last Friday. Prof. A. C. Hiers visited Branch- villo Saturday. 1. M. Maxey and Mrs. John E. Smoak took a plea-omt trip to Savan nah a few days ago. A P. S. C. E.
