SOME FINE HAY.
Col. C. D. May last week cut his
twelve acres of peavine hay near
town, and it was a beantiful land
scape scene when placed in stacks
over the field. Col. May gathered
the latter part of May fifty bushels
of oats per acre on this filled and
June 8 and 9 planted the peas. He
estimates that it has made two tons
per acre of the finest kind of hay.
This will give him an income per
acre of not less than $80 which beats
cotton all to pieces. What he has
done other persons can do.
