tens not what is said, but Mr Carter
said that he does not raise his stock
on Mr Kentz’ land, and further that

of land in the woods. I WO uld like
for Mr Carter to tell me what has
become of the rest of it, and what is
there in its stead, as Mr Rentz has a
plat for seventy-five or eighty acres
, in the woods. I would like to know’

land. Mr Carter said that there is
nothing but pine straw’ and frogs on
Mr Rentz woods, and I guess that
is the reason why Mr Carter's hogs

are hungry and straw when they
are thin. If Mr ( arter’s statement
is true that Mr Rentz has nothing on
his land but pine straw and frogs,
the straw and frogs are Mr Rentz

hogs out and if he would not shut
them up that evening and would let
them go home, you would shut them
up and they should not bother him
any more. Mr Rentz told you that
he would let them alone then until
they could get home this time, and
lie did, for it was two weeks or
longer before the next hogs were
shut up, so Mr Carter, if you had
been true to your promise the
second hogs would not have been
shut up.

for me to have all my land under
fence and turn my stock out on
another man’s land, and I have not
had any stock out in a good many
years, while if I had known that Mr
Carter’s land had grown so I might
have turned them out but I have
always heard that his grand father
gave his mother one hundred acres
and that is the same track that he
has. and he is running a three horse
farm on it, has three settlements on
it, three ponds, one branch and two
pastures, all under fence and one
road going through it, so I will leave
it to our readers to decide what is
the matter, whether he has the land
he claims in the woods or whether
he has been making true returns.
If Mr Carter has so much land in the
woods, 1 do not see why he would
want his stock to go on Mr Rentz*
land where there is nothing but pine
straw and frogs, execept that he
thinks that frogs are more plentiful
and better feed for his hogs than
his corn.
While Mr Carter has no right to
let his hogs eat Mr Rentz’ frogs
without his consent still Mf Carter

Saturday July 3rd, is too good
to keep. I* cannot help telling
my hungry friends about it. The
luck was a fish fry at our jolly
old friend’s, H H R, and we cer
tainly did enjoy it. He must
have been holding back foi days,
and 1 have been uneasy about
him ever since, but knowing
that he was near medical aid, I
felt hopeful that he would pull
through. Aaother brother that
I am uneasy about was one that
I last saw going in the direction
of home half bent and with his
hand on his chest.
We had about two hundred
present snd enough rations for a
thousand. You cannot blame

little too much too, but we ad
vised him to stay that night with

Mr Editor, Bill got one more
square feed. Now if the breth-
