FRASER, WALTERBORO, S. C. Adam’s Run, Feb. 27.—Editor Press and Standard: The Ladies’ Fancy Work Club charmingly enter tained last Tuesday, Mrs. T. J. Tay lor. After devoting a proper amount of time to the flying of the fingers to the dainty creations, de lightful refreshments were served, consisting of chocolate and the famous Lady Baltimore Cake, which is not an every-day treat. In fact I think it quite an event for it is not the pi ivilege of every one to eat Lady Baltimore Cake made by the descendants of John Mayrant, the originator of the renowned cake. Mrs Taylor has the distinction of being one of his descendants. Miss Janie Sanders recited t\o very en tertaining peices. Mrs Perry con tributed music, Mrs E. W. King, and Miss Marie Legare exercised their vocal organs most freely, which gave universal pleasure. There were several ladies present besides the regular members of the Club, complimentary visitors, I sup pose one wculd term them. Miss Mayrant of Summerville, is visiting her neice, Mrs T. J.
