He stood the trip down there fine, and his family was sure he would soon be back with them, but the next week he commenced to grow worse and in ten days after he hft home he was dead. His wife, brother and some of his children were with him in his last hours. His body was brought home and buried at the Cottageville Cemetery. A great crowd attended his funeral services. Mr. Ackerman will be greatly missed. He was a devout Christian man, and always took a prominent part in Church and School work. He leaves a wife eleven children, two brothers and one sis ter to mourn his loss. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. 0. Ackerman. The entire community sympathi- E P HENDERSON GONE WEST Col. E.
