We are having some very fine weather now such as makes the farmers laugh. It is very warm for the time of the year, but never mind it is turning cold and it is not.the good old summer time yet. , Rev. B. R. Ulmer preached a very able and interesting sermon at Dry Branch Sunday which was enjoyed very much by the large crowd present. The young folks enjoyed a so ciable given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. McMillan’s: The large crowd present report a very enjoyable time. Richard F. Biers and sister, Elizabeth, visited W. LI. Hiers last Sunday. H. A. Cummings and charming daughter, Miss Leila, attended preaching at Dry Branch last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Laurie C. Tuten visited the latters parents Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Crosby Sunday. Little Miss Janie Fender and Mora Crosby visited Miss Lucile Hiers several days last week. Mrs. Margaret Jones of this section visited relatives near Col leton this week. Mr. S. O. McMillian and Joe McMilliau went to Bamberg on a business tiip last Ihursday. Pindar hullings are waking up from a drowsy sleep.
