MANAGEMENT
DR BLACKS CONDITION.
Yesterday morning, Dr. Black
had a sinking spell, and the watch
ers around his bedside feared the end
was near. His son, Howell, and
trothers were summoned, but
contrary to what seemed so certain,
in the afternoon he began to im
prove, and today some slight hope is
entertained that he will continue to
improve. His symptoms are much
more favorable.
His son, Howell, came in the after
noon from Branchville, his brother
J. B. of Sheldon, at night and Robert,
this morning. His sister, Mrs. J. L.
Smoak, of Smoaks has been with
him since Sunday.
