If Sat b. John H Peuqfoy, the next Solici tor of the 9th, Judicial Circuit, is a young man 34 years of age. Was educated at Wofford College and took law at the University of Vir ginia. He has practic.d in the Courts of this State for the past 10 years. Was Mayor of town of Walterboro for four years. With his experience and ability as a lawyer the people of the Circuit can rest Assured that they will have a live, energetic and aggressive prosecuting officer for the nert four years. Colleton County is proud of the victory of her favored son. Hiers-Graves. The many friends of Miss Collie Hiers and Bartow H. Graves were very much surprised to hear that on Thursday morning last at nine o’clock they were quietly married at the residence of Rev B F Halford. This marriage was a complete sur prise, as it was not known that these young persons contemplated taking this step at this time. Miss Hiers is the popular daugh ter of Mr and Mrs D C L Hiers, and Has been for some time employ ed by Senator Griffin as typewriter. Mr Graves is employed at The Press and Standard where he occu pies a responsible position, having been with this patter for several years.
