Mrs F B Ilendeson who is teaching the Dwight school at Delemars spent last Sunday after noon with friends Miss Francis Aivena accompany her. Mrs J F Stutts has been se riously ill for the past week, but we are glad to say she is improv ing rapidly. Messrs Atmar Rogers and Wil liam Hilton of Ridgeville visited friends here last Sunday. Mrs J A Johnson has been very sick for the past week. Mr H B Ackerman and Mrs J A Rodges has hac their prop erty insured by the Piedmont Insurance Co of Spartanburg. Mr Wm Rowe who has been painting in St George, ba« an engagement to paint the Baptist Church at Meggett, Mr Rowe is at present with Mr Ackermsn. The school at this place is pro gressing rapidly under the man agement of Miss Rodgers, Miss Rodgers was the eflicent teacher in the Dwight School latt year. The County Board of Control, upon petition from Meggett,'have decided to open a dispensary at that place, and have elected W. B. Sears •n as dispenser. The people of this community have been opposed to the dispensary there but they claim that the ’’blind tigers’’are flourishing to such an extent that it is necessary f r their only protection to open a dispensary. The dispensary will be opened as soon the bond of the dispenser and and a few preliminaries can be arra nged.
