To the Editor the ^ewa and Courier: So much has been writ ten on the subject of drainage it would seem that nothing^ could bo added thereto, yet s range to say, there are places claiming to bo health resorts, inter sected with low, swampy land, nature's great power house for generating malaria, and as a consequence those adjacent to them [ara the sufferers. Results of the Experiment. “The results of this ex|>erimcnt show that for the first forty-three days of the feeding the mixture containing cot tonseed meal aud com gave larger and cheaper gains than the straight corn ration, while during the second period of forty days the results were reversed. This feeding should not be continued for more than fifty days unless tbe proimrtion of cotton seed meal be redueed. Mixing end Souring. The meal should lie mixed wltb the other feed and ail soared together. As mnrh green feed as possible should also be fed and a close watch kept and the cottonseed meal taken away from any animals not eating or not gaining well. „ If cottonseed meal and corn chops are mixed before the water U added, the tendency for the meal to form into ball* is obviated.
