Nearly every farmer who had meat killed lost some of it, this being tbe first oold we have bad this year, bogs were knifed and much amat put eir«y in salt, this meal will require close attention for the temper ature rose rapidly ytsterdsy and this morning feels like spring again. It is an encouraging sign that our farmers are paying more attention to stock raising, th efly cows and bogs, t hey are paying more atte ition to grades. No lunger are they satisfied with the “pine woods’* cow and th« “rator back” hogs. The process of eradicating these primitive ideas has i been very slow and painful, but as tbe twilight of new ideas begins to dawn on the awakening slumber, a glad ray of hope penetrates the brain and we ore more rapidly awakening into a changed world.
