The mail robbers have scored again This time it was u band of ten, armed with revolvers, shot guns and dynamite bombs. The engineer, fireman and two mail clerks put up a stiff resistance; in fact, ail four of them held out until the door ot the man ear was forced open with dynamite and the bandits had thrown two dynamite bombs and one fire brand which smoked out the four men inside the mail car. The robbery was well planned. Two of the robbers boarded the train at some point between Chi cago and Paxton. 111., and at the lattei place covered the engineer and fireman with revolvers. They ordered the engineer to proceed two miles further where the train was stopped the crew was forced to break the train, and the engineer and fivenvir. were ordered to carry the baggage and mail cars further up the track and stop on the other side of a tres.lc over a stream. Here eight additional bandits from automobiles appeared and made the assuulc upon the mail car. The engineer and fireman wer ordered to open the door of the nu.i car. When the door was opened ti e; got in and slammed shut the door ^-''The four men, engineer, fireman j nc two mail clerks pjit up a stiff fighi until the dynamite and the smoke five brands, together with overwhelming odds In numbers, forced them out oi the car. The bandits, headed west, left in two automobiles. It was one of the boldest robberies yet pulled olY and it is estimated that the haul was a rich one. There are some things that stand out clearly in this particulat robbery. The number of men united to perpetuate it This is going to hi ' a very great aid on the side of the law. It will be quite a difficult thing for so large a number to successfully hide the crime. Some one of then in some way, will furnish a clue. Th< heroic fight put up by the employee1 is worthy of note. The government has ordered all mail clerks to earn arms. This one regulation is perhap' responsible for the size of the assaui ing party. The frequency of such occurrences is a very serious matter and shows t'n necessity for the government tuki ig very much more precaution. Somebod; on the inside must be tipping off tic robbers, else they would not be so sue cessful in raiding the richly laden <; mail. The automobile and good roa 1 generally have contributed to the sr. cess of bandits. The airplane alsi offers them additional means of c = cape. It seems that the means of d inioc iiovc iiuu M|r jmcu wild x . means of offense. There will have i< be some improvement in the matl-'i of protection. When one of these mei! cars, richly laden, starts out, it will have to carry a machine pun art somebody to operate it. ??nI cat had a fine, chicken dinner [rr-? 1 ? To tell how I hurt would be impossible. "I just hurt all over. I couldn't sit, stand cr lay with any comfort, my back, sides and head all gave me a great deal of trouble. "I was especially bothered with a light swimming in my head. My people were very uneasy about me and sent me to my relatives to see If a change would do me any good. "I stopped at a sister-in-law's and she being a great believer in Cardui, asked me why I didn't use it I decided to try it . . . "I had only taken a few dose* when I felt it would do me good. This gave hopes and I used It right along and it did mo just a world of good, since which time I have never ceased to praise Cardui."
