30 HOURS TO CROSS OCEAN. : Italian Engineer Predicts Results | of His Invention. I Paris, April 16.?From Paris to New York in thirty hours with ISC', passengers and twenty tons of bag-; gage. This is the latest prophecy made by Signor Ricci, an Italian en-! gineer, whose superairplane is said * to be in the final stages of completion. Those who have seen the plane re-; port that it has four decks like an; ocean liner and that each deck has at! least S00 square yards of surface. The decks are connected by winding stair-j wTays, but are separated from the j driving compartment and propellers j by extra thick glass walls which will j shut out the noise of the motors and! iinv inconvenience from the wind . caused by the speed at which the giant plane will travel. The plane is rated as capable of developing 5,000 horsepower and Signor Ricci is certain that there will be no difficulty in nonstop voyages over distances up to 5,000 miles.
