For sale bv Bamberg Pharmacy, Bamberg; H. C. Rice, Denmark. An Impatient Man. A Salem man thinks he has had trouble enough to entitle him to a divorce. It appears that his wife tore the signs from his store, put into his tea something that ( made him ill, threw his clothes down stairs, filled his shoes with cold water, put refuse in his overcoat pocket, threw water over him as he went down stairs, , put pepper in his bed, made him sleep in j an attic, wouldn't do his washing, would not mend his clothes, made him darn his socks and sew buttons on his shirts, spat . on his toast ,when he was getting his breakfast, rocked in a squeaky chair for hours at a time to annoy him, put grease on his Sunday clothes, wouldn't let him have a fire on the coldest evenings so that he often had to go to bed at 7 p. m. to keep warm, and finally she rubbed a butcher knife over his neck and threateu' ed to blow out his brains. Fortunately, there are many men who wouldn't think of seeking a divorce for trivial reasons as these, but men differ. The Salem man evidently has the patience and endurance needed in married life. If he gets the divorce he seeks he may find that he has made a mistake, and would have done better to stick to a wife who ( was at least interesting, even if occasionally somewhat agitating. o P BE QUICK. Not a minute should be lost when a child shows symptoms of croup. Chamberlain's Cough Remedy given as soon as the child bicomes hoarse, or even after the croupy cough appears, will prevent the attack. It never fails, and is pleasant and safe to take.
