W. Sand el's and Deputy Sheriff W. A. Hayes. The fir-t raid made was near Rob bins, on Pin Branch, where a copper still was located. This outfit^consist ed of an 80-gallon boiler, one copper cap, one copper condenser, four doub lers, 800 gallons of mash, one vat, 75 fruit jars, three gallons of liquor and a quantity of lumber. In the Patterson’s Old Mill section the officers destroyed an outfit con- -dsting of nine vats, two doublers, one 150 gallon boiler, srrme galvanize 1 pipe, aiid about 50o gallons of mash. No arrests were made, but it is stated that a warrant will V sworn out this week for a white man in con nection with the raid near Bobbin'. ] To Require the Registration and Vac- r cination Against Rabies of All Dogs in the Town of Barnwell and to Provide Penalties for Its Viola-j | tion, I Be it Ord'uined by the Mayor and Aldeimen of Barnwell, in Town Coun cil Assembled: Section 1. It shall he unlawful for any person or persons to own,' keep, or harbor a dog within the limits of the Tow n of Barnwell without 5i writ ten pernfit from the Town Clerk. See. 2. Before issuing the permit required by Section • I here >f, the . r • Town Clerk 'hall require th< appli cant to file with him a certificate in writing signed by a licensed v.eteri- narian that the dog <n dogs designa,- ted in the permit have been vaccinated against rabies with’n one year im mediately preceding the dat • of the application. It shall he the duty of the* Police Department to seize all unvar- | cinated dogs, whether at large or not, and hold them as herein provided. See. 7. On or before the first day, of May of each year the Chief of Po lice shall require a canvass to be made of all dogs owned or harbored in the Town for the purpose of enforcing this Ordinance. . i ■- « Sec. 8. Whosoever shall wrongfully remove the badge from a dog regis tered as herein required shall be pup- i-hed by a fine of not less than five dollars or imprisomncfit for not less than five clays. Sac. 9. Any unvaccinated dog that bites any person shall be taken into TTncpody mnd the owner of said unvac cinated dog shall be liable to a fine of one hundred dollars or thirty days in jail. Sec. 10. If any owner or possessor of a fierce or dangerous dog, regis tered or not registered, shall permit the same to. go at large iii the Town, to the danger or annoyance of any of the inhabitants, he. she, or they shall be liable to a fine of not less than ten dollars or imprisonment for ten days, i ;• moic than twenty dollars or im prisonment for tw-enty days, and upon a second conviction' for the same of- • fen so t he Chief df P . shall c., Use the said dog to he -lain. S, e. 11. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances inconsistent wnh or re pugnant to this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Sec. 12. This Ordinance 'hall take effect oat May 1st. 1925.
