Anderson.—According to informa tion secured by the secretary of the chamber of commerce the buildmg ac tivities for this year in city and coun ty have peached the sum of $725,000. In the city many homes have been built from $1,500 to $20,000 and the ad ditions made to the school buildings have amounted to $1S,000, while the new boys' high school building cost $100,000, this building being one of the most modern and best equipped in the state. The mills. which are just outside the incorporate limits, have built some handsome homes for their officials and at several there have been as many as 50 houses, built for operatives. These fimiidings of the mills are es- fimrffed at JS5.000 and with the city wall make an estimate of $425,000. In the small tokns of the county there has he^n much activity.
