Long Branch, May 9.—Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Hair, of Rosemary, spent

Mrs. Henry Winton Jones and Miss
Myrtle Chitty, of Blackville, visited
this community Sunday.
Miss Juanita Carroll spent several
days in Williston last week. While
there she, with friends, visited Au
gusta.
The many friends of Mr. L. P. Wil
liams will learn with regret that he
has been quite sick, but are glad to
know that he is convalescent at pres
ent.
Quite a number of Rosemary folks
were visitors at Ixmg Branch Sunday.

vacant Scholarships in Winthrop Col
lege and for admission of new stu
dents will be held at the County
Court House on Friday, duly V, at
9 a. nr Applicants must not he less
than sixteen years of age. When
Scholarships are vacant after July
1, they will be * warned to those mak
ing the highest average at this ex
amination, provided they meet the
conditions governing the award. Ap
