Unless we respect the law, we weaken its powe»-, and without it what would this country be? What would a man’s life or property be worth? We can not afford to take the law into our hands, for when we do we weaken the structure upon which civilization is built. We cannot stop law lessness with | lawlessness, any more than two wrongs can make a right.
