Mrs. Weather- bee has been with her daughter, Mrs. D. L. Merritt, for sometime. She had partially recovered from a severe illness when one day last week she had a sudden attack that is quite serious. Miss Floumey Owens entertained with a Bridge Party last Friday morning in honor of Miss Helen Willis’ guests, the Misses Evans of Pendleton. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Kennedy and Messrs. ' Clarences and Hamilton Owens have returned from a few days visit in Allendale. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Miss Dovie Owens of Biltmore, N. C., is here among relatives for the Summer. Mrs. Pearle Matthews and children of Blackville spent Wednesday here with Mrs. J. W.
