Pirt and Starling Carroll, of Elko route 1, were visitors to Barnwell Saturday, and while here Mr. Birt called at The People office to renew his subscription. The price of cucumbers on the Blackville market is said to have dropped from $2.65 a crate Friday to 50 cents Monday.
