Crops in this section are looking
well, despite the recent cool spell.
Although a good many punctured
“squares” have been picked up in the
fields, a fair percentage of the bolls
are alreadly fully grown, so at least
a fair cotton harvest is hoped for.
Miss Emily Caldwell, accompanied
by her aunt, Miss Lessie Glover, both
of McPhersonville, is spending some
time here, the guest of Mr. and Mrs.
R. H. Hay.

have returned home after a short vis

rules of the Democratic Party and all

papers in at least one issue preceding
said election, and to file a pledge in
accordance with said rules.
In the said election the voters shall
scratch the names of all save one can
didate for Mayor, and all save six
(6) candidates for Aldermen. No
one will be allowed to vote unless his
name appears on the Barnwell Mu
nicipal Democratic Club Roll.
