There will be an Easter egg hunt at Mt. Olivet Church Saturday after noon at 3 o’clock. The public is in vited to attend. A local physician used hail stones Sunday to. prepare an Ice pack for one of his patients who lives in the coun try, artificial ice not being available. Mr. M. E. Black, of Springfield, was in the city Sunday, having been called to the bedside of his brother, Mr. W. H. Black, of the Galilee section, who has been quite ill for several days. Both men were thrown from the bug- gy, and it is understood that Mr. Mat thews was severely hurt while Mr. Morris escaped injury. p ♦ ^ To Build Apartment -House. , Mr. Willis Irvin, an architect, of Augusta, was in the city Saturday to see J. 0. Patterson, Esq., in reference to plans for an apartment house which the latter contemplates erecting in Barnwell. An apartment house would fill a long felt need here, as there is a great shortage of houses. To Hold Important Meeting. To .the Farmers of Barnwell County: Acting under instructions from the South Carolina Cotton Association, a meeting of the farmers of Barnwell County will be held in the Court House at Barnwell on Monday, April 5th, immediately after the legal sales.
