The commis sion was asked to take prompt steps to have 1 some improvements made. A letter written by J. T. Blatter, sec retary of the charpber, to Frank W. Shealy, chairman of the railroad com mission. says: “We desire to call the attentiort of the commission to some very deplor able conditions existing at the union passenger depot here from which the public suffer. ,# 'Our observation is that the signs directing travellers to trains and tracks are not placed as they should he. Very frequently, they are not to be seen./anywhere except in a- pile near the steps, undistributed through out the track floor.
