THE EMERSON WINTERS COMPANY of entertainers will prive a double program on the last day of the Chautauqua, afternoon and night, and the quality of their art offering vs confidently an nounced by the organizers of the program as being the highest grade. A certain intellectual quality in keeping with the education al motive will be found in even their lightest entertainment numbers. Both Mr. and Mrs. Winters are talented players and something of their dramatic art will be manifested in serious and comedy se lections. The group of women who form the AGNES MATHIS COM- X PA NY have devoted their talent to the advancement of the vocal ❖ and instrumental musical arts and to the popularization of the best £ that the world of music affords. They will give two concerts here on the second day of the Radcliffe Chautauqua, afternoon and night. Miss Mathis, the attractive director of this singing, and play ing organization, will herself contribute the dramatic feature. She is announced as a reader of fine talent and personal charm. Gearheart, the first day’s lecturer of the Racliffe Chautauqua program, is an orator of the first order* a veteran platform worker, a gifted thinker and educator, who combines wit with wisdom, practical sense with eloquence. He comes to our town with a reputation for inspiring leadership, an apostle of sun shine, who lends his fine philosophy of life to the promotion of the community spirit. The Radcliffe program for 1919 hails the'dawn of the new day. The quickening of American ambition, following the war against autocracy, is to be seized while fervor is at white heat and shaped into a nation-wide crusade for Education.
