Chase lor the four bandits who robbed a bank at Homestead, Fla., on September 15 of six thousand dollars ended Monday when the body of James Tuckep, one of the robbers, was found In Lopez River and Hugh Alderman, who police say, confessed his partrof the crime, surrendered. Tucker was drowned while trying to swim the river. Tucker’s death makes five result ing from the robbery. The commission is gaining some valuable information first hand from the farmers. Monday night the commission attended a conference, in Baton Rouge. Gov. Pleasant of Louisiana was among the guests. The weevil conatnission is attract ing much attention in this section from the press and the public. Gov. Manning addressed several hundred school children at Zachary Monday and was given a rousing welcome. The schools turned out at two o’clock in hon,or of the gover nor’s visit.
