Neck Broken; Lived 4 Days.
Following his fall from a second story
farly Monday morning, Boises Roberts,
a young negro, died in the Lamar
Wing at the University Hospital early
yesterday morning, after living four
days with a broken neck. Although
conscious, his body was perfectly in
sensible.
According to the police, Roberts,
while*in a drunken stupor, fell out a
second story window of a house occu
pied by Josephine Singfield, 916 Tal-
cott street
At the hospital it was found that the
negro had a small scar on the right side
of his head. He could talk and told the
police that there was nothing to the
report that he had been robbed and
thrown out the window after 160 had
been taken from him, yet the surgeons
canid stick a pin into his flesh at any
flinch. An X-ray picture waa taken
and it waa found that the negro's neck
waa broken*—Angnata ChrohkJe, 9th
