Quite a number of baseball fans from
here attended the Barn well-Carlisle
- game at Bamberg Monday afternoon.
Monday was a very quiet salesday.

The F. C.. degree was conferred on
Louis Kaplinski at a special communica
tion of Harmony Lodge No. 17, A. F.,
Monday evening.
Messrs. T. J. Hiers, A. R. Dunbar
and Barney Owens, of Dunbarton, and
W. J. W. Glover, of Meyer's Mill, were
visitors here salesday.
Mrs. Lena Davies returned home
Friday afternoon from Johnston, after
a six-weeks visit to her brother, Mr. C.
F. Pechnrun, who has been quite ill.
Mr. R. E. Miller, who has made his
home here for the past several years,
left Fridsy aftgrnoon for Asheville, N.
C., where he goes in search of health.
J. Emile Harley, Esq., left Tues
day on a business trip to New York
and Boston. While away he will also
visit points in North Carolina and West
Virginia.
Another very delightful meeting of
the Exchange club was held last Thurs
day afternoon at the home of Mrs. R.
W. Riley. The s[>acious porch was
arranged as a fine setting for the
group and the refreshments served I
were in full keeping with the occasion. |
The revival services at jfie Baptist
church, conducted by the Kneeling
Evangelist. Rev. J. S. Jones, grow in
interest. On next Sunday afternoon
at 4 o'clock th^re will be a specia
meeting for men. Boys from 12 to 100
years of age are cordially invited to
come. Any man over 100 years of
age is excused. Subject; “Heroes and
Cowards.” This is the last service but
one, as the meeting will close with the
night service. Sunday morning Mr.
Jones is to speak to children, boys and
girla. General services every night
this week at 8 o'clock.

day, May 15th, 1915, at the store of A.
E. Owens for the purpose of electing
two trustees for Williston High School
District, No. 29, to fill the vacaneies
caused by the expiration of the com
missions of J. P. Lee, Jr., and J. W.
Black. The two trustees elected will
serve until the second Tuesday in May,
1919.
