Farmers tell us that more oats have
been and will be sown this Fall. Win

The Farmers and Merchants Bank
of Williston has elected as Its new

brick building recently erected by Mr.
A. Owens. Mr. Albert Owens will oc
copy the other part of the building as
a drug store.
A farmer visitor from Williston
tow nship told us last week that from
one row of tomatoes in his garden,
plants three feet apart, the family had
all the fruit desired during the sum
mer and early Fall and put up 104
quart cans for wln'er u«e. At that
rate a moderately sized family co«ld,
whh the excep'ion of meats, flour and
meal raise all needed liome supplies on
an acre.
On Saturday morning the dwelling
owned by Mrs. Lizzie D. Rhodes of
Augusta and occupied by Mr. F. M.
Cave wa* burned with all the contents
of the cook room and three living
room* in the back part of the house,
containing the accumulatiqPs of
year* of housekeeping. The contents
of the two front rooms %ere saved.
The loss is a heavy one M the dwelling
was -only partially Insured and Mr,
Cave hsd no Insurance. The fire

talk of their troublee, as If they were
