Augusta and Charleston” is to be the name of the Seaboard Air Line’s mad between Charleston and Augusta. The road will in* 129 miles long and the capita! stock $'.'3.UUU per mile. As surveyed it crosses tbe Sooth Bound at Chitty. it will be 2U miles shorter between A u- giuta and Charleston than the “old re liable South Carolina and Georgia.” It is counted now a* a fix d fact that the Seaboard AH* Line will build from Charleston via Barnwell to Augusta. The work of eon-truction will begin as s<M»n as the connection between Cheraw and Columbia is completed.
