All the old officers were re-tleeted with four exceptions, after which the Alliance was adjourned in due form to meet at Barnwell on tiie second Friday in September next. A sumptuous dinner was prepared by tiie good ladies of that section and spread out before the people who were made welcobVe by t ie hospitable citi zens of old Georges ( reek. After din ner Col. Aldrich was introduced to the audience and made an eloquent speech, touching upon the issue* that would occupy the time of the deh'gates in the coming election for the Constitutional Convention. Rhodes was there in all his glory. He’s a good cater and the la dies know it. | We left for Caves in the afternoon and made our old friend's house, Mr. lames Ulmer, by sunset, where we met with what all good people enjoy—a hospitable welcome from him and Itis excellent wife.
