' Early cotton is opening and farmers are picking the fleecy staple. Hail and rain storms have injured the cotton crop bbt corn is above the aver age. The farmers of the neighborhood met on the loth irut. at the atore of Mrs. Dr, Kearse to regulate the price for pick ing cotton. It cost about one half the. crop to make it, it will U^ke about one’ fourth to gather it and the balance is left to pay the factor and printer.
