Think Sunspots May Be Tornadoes A discovery that sunspots are probably nothing more than tre mendous whirling tornadoes In the sun’s biasing atmosphere has been reported from Harvard University. The spots cover billions of square miles on the sun and directly af fect weather, rainfall and radio on earth. Heretofore the spots were thought to be something boiling up from the depths of the sun like whirlpools in hot water. The new idea was reported to the American Association for the advancement of Science by Dr. Donald H. Mensel. It is based partly on motion pictures of the sun, equivalent to close upe, taken by a new photographic method, at Climax, Colo. Dr. Mensel says that, on the son the magnetic forces are so strong they form a roof which is able to hold up a vast weight of biasing This Is exactly the same thing as if the magnetic Hues on earth which guide tha earn pass needle were strong enough to Lold a lot of air suspended 50 to 100 miles over head. The sun’s magnetic lines are vastly stronger than earth’s. The kind of air or gaaaa that would stick to invisible magnetic lines are well known. They are ionized, meaning they have electrical charges. The sun’a atmosphere is with ele all highly charged electricity. k To relieve mieer- liea. rub throat, ’chest end beck ■with comforting VJS!$s daught Hardy CHEAP MONEY We make loans of $900.00 or more on Lite Insurance ' Policies issued by any reliable company.
