She had as her guest on last Sunday her nephew, Joseph Walker of Co lumbia. Friends will be pleased to learn that Miss Jean Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moore, Is much Improved after having been hospit alised at the Camden hospital since last Thursday. • see * Mr. And Mrs. J. W. Stuart Hosts At Supper Party Mr. and Mrs. James W. Stuart gave a supper party at Thomas Tarern on Saturday evening, Oct 8 at 9 o'clock. Quests were served a delicious fish supper, the fish being caught by Mr. Stuart on a recent trip to Florida. Immediately after supper the guests were taken to the Junior Chamber of Com merce weekly “Open House” .at their club rooms in the recreation hall at Woodward airport. Tobin gave * bril- lant tea on Saturday afternoon at her home on Hampton street, from S until 1:20 o’clock, honoring her daughter-in-law and recent bride, Mra. Joseph Alien Tobin, who with Dr. Tobin le interning st the Green ville General Hospital In Green ville. Oueeta were greeted at the door by Mrs. Jsmes M. Gsndy and Mrs. M. M. Reasonover sad presented to the receiving line by Mies Isa belle Woods and Mias Jennie Whit aker. The receiving line waa com posed of the hoelesa, Mrs. Jasper Allen Tobin, and her cousin, Miss Sara Jean Baldwin, of Columbia. Mrs. Tobin wore a black dinner gown beaded in amber, the bride wore her wedding gown of Ice blue satin and Mias Baldwin was gown ed in a Madonna blue satin sown that she wore when she was an at tendant In the Tobin-Tribble wed ding in Due West on Sept. 17. Each one wore a rose-pink camellia cor sage. Mra. H. D. Green end Mra. M. B. Williams recslved in the din ning jpom and were assisted by Mrs. W. C. McCarley, Mra. Batas Littlejohn and Mra. Elmo Brown. Mra^. Hubert Wilson and Mra. F. D. Goodale presided at the coffee and tea silver services which were placed at opposite ends of s beau tifully appointed table. A white cutwork cloth covered the table aad was centered with a silver bowl of three shades of pink car nations. Three-prong silver candelabra holding lighted white tapers and silver compotes with varl-coiored mints completed the table arrange ment. Open-faced sandwiches and tee cakes were served. Mixed garden flowers and mas ses of dahlias and gladioli were used in all parts of the house and on the living room mantel. Nuptial music was played during the tea hours by Mrs. W. J. Hoff man, pianist. * » • • • Roberto Little Honored On Thirteenth Birthday Roberta Little was honored on Saturday evening by her parents, Mr. and Mra. Ralph Little, on the beck lawn of their home on North Lfttleton street. Tkie occasion waa the 13th birthday of the honor guest and she invited numerous of her classmates and friends to a weiner roast st 7:30 o’clock- Following supper a beautifully dec orated pink, green and white birth day cake and ice cream was served by Mra.
