The red family in rich middle reg ister tones; much stark black and pure white. The vibrant blues are good and there is tango and rust. Short Fur Coals t> ™»* t '*niiniH Women’s Wear Dally fmds that It’s short fur coats by a ratio' of five to one long—this Is the big trend In fell-winter collections. Short means anything from SO to 40 Inches—long averages 45 to 47 inches. Short coats come Into their own on many counts: On the basis of fit-in-length — more women can wear these under-40 inch-coats than the overly long styles; and on the basis of less fur, which means low er prices.
