For • year ago when these teams battled on Kirkwood field here it was the invading hosts that won, taking, two of the three games played. Every game was a classic of action, brilliant riding and beautiful sharpshooting. This year's series should be no excep tion since it brings all of the 1948 actors back into play. The Camden team will lineup with Luis Ramos at No. 1, Can Lightfoot at No. 2, Eddie Tejan at No. 3 and Fred at back or No. 4 spot — Minnick’s team win see Lieut Col. Gardner at No. 1, Fred Timm at No. 2, Jim Minnick at No. 3 and Harry Wagner at No. 4. Captain Ramsey will be in reserve. Of the Augusta personnel, Fred Timm is the only one to see play on the local field this season. Since he has been playing the past three Sundays with the C den players. PAUL ROSS 992 Broad Street Deciding Game Is Won By Camden In Polo Series The Camden polo riders took the third and deciding .game from the Baltimore foursome at the Kirkwood polo field here Sun day afternoon by a 6 to 3 score. Camden won the first game 6 to 4, dropped the second 5 to 2, but came across for the series win last Sundav afternoon with one of the best polo exhibit!ops seen here this season. * Some 600 fans braved a frigid temperature and murky skies to see the eight riders cut loose with sensational riding and brilliant shooting. After a 1 to 1 tie in the first chukker, Camden took command and by superior defensive play an dsensational shooting, main tained the lead to the final bell. Timm scored for Camden in the first, while Ramos checked in a counter for Baltimore in the same frame. Timm put Camden in front in the second while the visi tors went scoreless. Both teams scored twice in the third, Ramos for Baltimore and Littl4 and Kir by Tupper, Sr., for Camden. Neither team scored in the fourth and fifth periods, but in the sixth Lightfoot broke loose and his first score was a 70-yard carry, while one minute later traveled 60 yards to register. Baltimore went scoreless in the sixth. Team play was much in evi dence, particularly for Camden. Timm's first score was on a set up play by Little. Timm drove the bad! on a lofty shot to send it be tween the line of the goal posts. On the next play Burns, playing No. 1 for Baltimore, earned the ball on two dribble shots and then a loi Nine Bales Cotton Stolen In Kershaw Reward Is Offered Reward for the information leading to the arrest and convic tion of the thief or thieves, who Wednesday night, November 10, stole nine Dales of cotton from the cotton raised xlay from $100 to 9200. On Wednesday night the thieves loaded 11 bales on their truck and evidently made away in such haste that two bales were lost fay them and later picked up on the Kershaw-Lancaster alternate highway by Kershaw police.
