Burns, and Mrs. Henrietta Brailsford Burns of this city and a graduate of the Cam den high school in 1929, has be come associated with Dr. William Weston and Dr. William Weston, Jr., for the practice of pediatrics in Columbia. Bom in Camden, Feb. 7, 1911, he Attended the local public schools and later the University of the South at Sewanee, Term., graduating with a B. S. degree in 1933. He received his M. D. degree from the Medical College of South Carolina in 1933 and served his internship at Charity hospital in New Orleans in 1939. He was resident in pediatrics at July of 1939 to January HMl he entered the army to serve oversees from August 4, 1942 un til April 1945. Returning to the States he took a refresher course at the Charity hospital from De cember 1945 to June 1946 and then engaged in practice at Orangeburg for two years. - He became licentiate of the American Board of Pediatrics in 1947 and is a member of the South Caroline and Edisto Medical So cieties. A member of the Tri- County hospital staff at Orange burg. He is affiliated with the EpiscopEl church and was a mem ber of the vestry of the Church of the Redeemer at Orangeburg. In 1946 he married the former Miss Margaret Roper of Bennetts- ville and they have two small daughters, Henrietta Brailsford Bums, 17 months, and Margaret Roper Bums, one month old. Doctor Bums is a brother of Moultrie B. Bums " and Julian Burns of this city.
