Coach Lindsay Pierce Camden football fans In gen eral are deeply appreciative of the splendid tribute paid to the Cam den High football team by Rev P. DeU of Jeffwson in an open let ter to the sforting editor of the Colombia SUte. Rev. Bell in his letter says: “It is not often that ws single oat a coach or team for special mention, but we do want to add some words‘of appreciation of Cam den High Schoolhi fine football team to those of the Rev. O. F. Montgomery. “Here are some of the things that have impressed us as an out side observer: “First, hustle. We don’t believe we’ve ever seen a faster team. We fans enjoy watching the Camden boys run on and off the playing field when substitutions are made, as if scurrying for a touchdown. They really hustle at the time. ‘‘Second, teamwork. Bach player knows his assignment and carries it out well for the good .of the team as a whole. Their play gives evidence of many hours of practice end good coaching. ‘Third, sportsmanship. The team runs, blocks, and tackles hard, but DO foul play is used to achieve victory. They play clean ball. We like that more than anything else. "Fourth, scholarship.
