BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMDEN, S^ C., IN MEETING

Section 2. It ahall be required

after duly aabmlttlng to an ex
amination for new Ucenaea or for
renewal of old Ucenaea on expira
tion to determine hla qualification
for aaid licenae; aald examination
to be conducted by the Electrical
Inapector. The Electrical Inspector
shall certify to the City Clerk ae
to the competence of said apidicant
before such license is Issued. The
applicant shall execute a bond pay
able to the'City of Camden in the
amount of One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) with a responsible sure
ty company authorised to do busi
ness In the State of Sooth Carolina

said city against all loss or dam
age occasioned by the negligence
of the principal therein falling to
properly execute and protect all

equipment and the ordinary work
necessary for the proper mainten
ance of same. These permits wUl
be issued by the electrical inspec
tor employed by the Municipal
Utilities.

Underwriters for the installatlcn of
wiring aad apparatus for deetrical
purposea ae they are now eetab-
lisbed or may hereafter be amend
ed, and each rules, regulations and
recommendations are hereby adopt
ed and approved as a part of thla
ordinance.
, Section I. All plumbing and
other piping or tube work must be
in place on work to be concealed
before the electrical wiring is in
spected, and no such wiring shall
be considered as complete for final
inspection until all such plumbing
or piping Is in place.
It shall be unlawful to lath, seal
or In any manner conceal any elec
trical wiring or equipment until
same hat keen inspected and no
nces posted that same Is O. K.
When the electrical work In any
building for which a permit has
oeen obtained Is ready,for inspec
tion,' notice In writing properly fill
ed In upon blanks furnished at the
office of the electrical inspector
stating the location of work, the
name of the owner, and the name
of the electrical contractor doing
the work, shall be turned in to the
electrical Inspectoi’s qNlce.

If, after the first visit to a Job
or a written notice to inspect same^
It is necessary to return to re-ln-
spect any work, whether from a de
fect or tha work not being ready,
the inspector will return only on
another written notice, and shall
require an additional Inspection fee
of One ($1.00) Dollar to be paid
to the Municipal Utilities.
After the entire completion of
the work ,a notice, the same as the
foregoing, shall be given the in
spector for the final inspection, and
if he finds the work has been sat
isfactorily done, he shall Issue a
certificate, of inspection.
This certificate does not reliera
the rtectiician of his responsibili
ty for any defective work which
may have escaped the notice of the
inspector.
Section 7. No licensed electri
cian shall allow the use of his
name or license by any person, di
rectly or Indirectly either for the
purpose of obtaining a permit, or
do any work under bis Hoense, un
less such person is regularly em
ployed by him, knd the work of
such person is directly supervised
by such licensed electrician. '
Section 8. If any electrical con
tractor falls to comply with the
rules and regulations on this any

which may form time to time be
enacted by City Council of the
City of Camdon, then he shall be
notified in writing,by the electri
cal inspector wherein the rules and
regulations are not being observed,

Section t. Any person, firm or,

with any order of the electrical in

upon conviction, he punished by a

($100.00) Dollars, or by Imprison
ment, at the discretion of tke
Municipal Recorder.
Section 10. All ordinances or
parts of ordinances conflicting with
the proviskme of this ordinance
are hereby repealed,
This ordinance shall take effect
immediately.
