Boyle of Sumter, have cut their Sericea Lespedexa for the second time this year and sUte that good qi^ity hay was received both cuttings. Approxi mately 12 acres of SericM was seeded on this farm three yem ago as a part of the Conservation Program planned by the Lynches River Soil Conservation District. Fish Ponds that were stocked with Bass two years ago on W. J. Denton’s Farm near the Airport and John Gettys’ place near Lu- goff were checked recently with a Minnow seine to determine Bass re production. In both instances fin- gerling bass were found around the edges of the pond which indi cates normal reproduction is tak ing jilace. , Carl Lightfoot of Mulberry Plan tation states that he is cutting quality hay from his Kudxu fields on' the Black River Road this year. Mulberry has approximately 200 acres Kudxu Ranted for hay and erosion coatrol purposes. C. L. Shealy recently clipped his pasture which is a timely prac tice.
