But Gardner died just before he was to saU and a friend of Tom’s got some of the cigars and passed several to Tom. Tom knew how Dr. Corbett liked a good smoke, so he passed one on to the doctor. It doesn’t make any difference whether Camden has the present aldermanic system, the city man ager plan or a commision form of government—no matter what it is, hlzzoner. Sir Francis will have his hat In the arena. Hon. Arthur Jones, representative of Kershaw county, may run against Congresman Richards for the office that Richards now holds. Jones la quite popnlar over the district and would make a good run againai the veteran gentleman from Lancaster. Alderman Perry Langston is be ing showered with congratulations over the appearance of his new garage at Qroad and Walnut streets.
