Dean Virginia Gil- dersleere of Barnard College, who has just been .honored by the French goTernment, being present ed the Legion of Honor of Prance. She was also given the degree of Doctor of Law from Princeton University. Miss Richa^s’ other guests include Miss Francis Living ston and Miss Francis Ives, of New York, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry James of New York City. Mrs. D. N. Lee and Anbrey Fish- back. of Middleburg and Warren- ton, Va., who have had horses here all season shipped out on Sunday and will train for awhile in Vir ginia before going to Maryland. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wright, of New York, whose winter home here on Chesnut street is one of Cam den’s most charming, gave a lunch eon on Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Norman Clement of Buffalo, N. Y. and Harry D. Klrkover, Camden’s number one sportsman. Middleburg will be well repre sented at the Carolina Cup race meet when Mrs. McCormick, Crls Greer and Gerald Webb arrive for the long weekend of March 29th. One of the Winter Colony’s most charming ladies is Miss Jane Swords, of Morristown, N. J., who has been making Camden her "sec ond home" for many seasons. Mr. and Mrs. David R. WUliams of Malberry Plantation and Tulsa, Oklahoma, are in New York, where Mr. Williams will sail this week on the "America" for a business trip to Arabia. Mrs. Williams will return here. Miss Kate Williams, student at Sarah Lawrence School in New York^ is spending the Spring holidays at Mulberry Plan' tatlon and has as her house-guest Miss Sally Hillman, of Pittsburgh. Kate and Sally have Just returned from a houseparty at Wilmington Island, near Savannah, and were chaperoned by Mrs. Lucy Pomeroy Dean. ’The Richard Wallach's, of Roll ing Rock Club. Ligonier, Pa., will be here for the race meet, March 29th. The Court Inn, Camden’s exclus ive resort hotel, is gay with many guests among whom are; Lt. Gen eral Robert C. Richardson and Mrs. Richardson, of Bath, Me., who will remain for several weeks. Miss Elizabeth Bunch arrived on Sun day for the remainder of the seas on. .. .
