He also records^ foreign broadcasts
from Bkirope and edited them for the
war department, army and navy.
A year ago last December he was
ordered to London. Before leaving
he came to Camden and while here
he registered for the draft. At that
time he was a speaker before the
Camden RoUry clnb and his fine ap-

Hia father Col. Ancrum was a
graduate of the Camden High school
and attended Clemson, Sonth (Carolina
and West oPint before he entered the
Marine corps. (Tol. Anci^m was a
staunch member of the Episcopal
church as was. his son, Lieut. Ancrum.
While In Mnnich, Lt. Adcmm kept the
Episcopal church there in operation
after the outbreak of the war, acting
as a lay reader.
Upon reaching London In 1943, he
was sent to France and Germany to
serve with the Intelligence depart
ment of the Allied forces.

Her mother, who was of an Italian
family, was killed in an air raid in
1949.
The bride grew up at Hampton
Court Palace where her grandmother
