WUl Army topped the Navy in an East ern collegiate title game 60 to 49 Saturday night before a crowd of 6,000 fans. Army has been beaten but once in 32 games over a three year period.. The Greenville team outclassed the Bulldogs from the opening whistle and during the last half period, prac tically coasted the time out Sumter nosed out Columbia 33 to 32. but it was ••Red” Hollis of the Capa who stole the show for this game as well as all others played. Columbia appeared to have the better team of the two but were outlucked in shooting. The Gamecocks covered Hollis from tho start, but at that the red headed fire brand racked up 12 points. In the Thursday afternoon game SparUnburg romped to an easy win over Florence, the score being 3B to 14, while Charleston defeated Green wood 43 to 37 after a close tilt. Banes, the Greenwood center, who scored 18 poinU for his team, was sent out of the game on personal fouls in the third period. Had he remained in the lineup Greenwood would have been an easy winner. Major Heath is a graduate of Mar quette University school of engineer ing and did post graduate work In aeronautical engineering at New York University. Lt. William Marsh Sunday afternoon, Feb, 26. W. J. Snrook gave a fitting tribute which was followed by the memorial sermon by Chaplain James Scott of Morris Field, Charlotte, N. C. William Raleigh Marsh son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Marsh, died in Holland of wounds received in combat in Germany Dec. 3, 1944. He was inducted into ^e armed forces in August, 1942, and landed in Europe In October, 1944. He served with the 334th Infantry. A special funeral service was con ducted for Lt.
