Funeral services for John S. Dunn
were held from Komegay Funeral
home at 8 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
Interment was at Quaker cemetery,
conducted by the Rev. Douglas Mc-
Am and Lt Ralph McCaskill.
Mr. Dunn was the son of the late
Albert M. Dunn and Sallle McSween
Dunn.
Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Mag
gie McCaskill Dunn. Mr. Dunn was
76 years old and was a retired farmer

sixth war loan bonds, to be applied
on the Kershaw county quota now
being raised.
This action on the part of this well
known firm is in keeping with simi
lar action taken in all previous bond
campaigns.

During October
Chairman Norman 8. Richards of
the Kershaw County Board of Public
Welfare announces that during Oct.
the department rendered public wel
fare services, other than cash assist
ance in 38 cases including 7 in which
children were given assistance in the
solution of problems hot involving fi
nancial aid, and 13 cases in which
selective service boards were furnish
ed informatiop concerning persons
drafted for the armed services. Mis
cellaneous services included investi
gations for admission to Institutions,
services to the blind not Involving
cash aid. etc.
Cash assistance was .extended dur
ing the month in 561'cases, represent
ing 985 persons, the average award
per case being $1603. totaling $8.-
