Inflation is a form of dis ease which has started from many dif ferent sonrcec. Note these five; 1. The crudest form of inflation came from “clipping coins.” This means making them smaller or thin ner. It Is. the. fonn that la still used In certain conn5loB.''~ 2. In the case of paper money, the same result is obtained by printing additional paper money withont in creasing ths gold reserve. This is the method which is now being used In the United States. 3. A similar result can be obtamed by issuing an excess of Government bonds, which are really s form of currency and which tend to debase the currency already issued. 4. Inflation comes through the in erted use of checks, ncAes, and othm* forms of municipal, corpora tion and personal Indebtedness.
