Up to and inclading June 21, the Eagles had passed the $20,000 mark in’ the bond campaign and were stiU traveling at a winning gait This group is proving a big factor in the sale of the vitally important bonds. The Jonior League is also doing its share toward the bcnnT campaign hy manning a booth in tbe lobby of the Camden theater every Evening. While the total number of bonds already sold by the young* ladles of the League is not known, they have been inost persevering in their efforts and are giving much aid to the cam* palgn. A. wrlt^ project was functioning and the history of South Carolina was being prepared, and who for the past few years has been employed as a reporter on a Birmingham paper, was badly beaten in the face as the result of what he told police was an assault and rob bery on a downtown Birmingham street last Wednesday.
