She was a widow and he her only son. Too bad he couldn't get back for that wedding.^ Its going to be a sad Memorial bay for tiuxt girl and for his mother. Maybe if we all ftghTharder and work DAY harder — and buy more War Bonds, and hang dn to them — maybe we can shorten the war enough to spare the lives of thousands of hoys like my Buddy.
